As we're heading into the chilly season down here, especially where I'll be stationed, I'm considering investing in a heated jacket. Has anyone here bought one and been satisfied with their choice? Would you recommend going for a heated vest instead? I'm also thinking a snugger fit would be better since I might want to layer with additional hoodies or jumpers underneath. Are these heated options so effective that you wouldn't even need extra layers? Would love to get your thoughts!

I've tried both the heated vest and a hoodie, and honestly, I lean more towards the hoodie. With the vest, I found that the heat doesn't really reach me well if I'm wearing layers underneath. The hoodie fits snugly, which keeps the warmth close to my body, and then I can just throw extra layers over it. I do use my vest under a rain jacket sometimes, and it helps, but comfort-wise, the hoodie is definitely my pick.
I've had both styles — jackets and hoodies — and I’ve been happy with each. I got my first heated jacket back in 2015, and it's still kickin'. The jackets have a tougher exterior, while the hoodies feel more like a comfy sweatshirt. Personally, I prefer jackets since they provide more coverage, but both styles work best when you layer something over them. They can work alone but just don’t have the same kick. My partner wasn’t a fan of the bulky M12 batteries, so I got her some power banks instead, and now she's a lot happier with her heated jackets!
Got it! So the M12 batteries were too bulky for her? What adapter did you end up getting?

Perfect reply, thank you! I appreciate your insight. Wishing you smooth drives on the course!
