What’s with this weirdly thin paint application?

I'm using Sherwin Williams Iron Ore in their Emerald line, and I just can't understand why it's going on so thin. I've never experienced anything like this before! Here's a look at what I'm working with: https://imgur.com/a/v2crGdj.

That’s odd! Could you share a picture of the paint can? Maybe they accidentally used a different base. I’ve had great results with the same paint and gotten full coverage in one coat, but it sounds like something might be off for you!

Here's the can: [pics](https://imgur.com/a/P89ZN3A). It looks like it should work, right? It’s just strange.

Have you stirred the paint really well before using it? Sometimes, if it's not mixed enough, it can come out thinner than expected.

Using a dark color over white can definitely be tricky. I'd recommend expecting a few coats for proper coverage! I've dealt with similar issues before.
