How do I get my gas line moved inside the wall for a flush oven installation?

I have an oven that's sitting about 3 inches away from the wall because the gas line is sticking out, which seems pretty common for older appliances. I'm looking to find out who I should contact to get the gas line moved so that my oven can sit flush against the wall. I live in NYC, so I'm curious about the process and any potential hassles involved.

A plumber or a gas contractor is your best bet. Just a heads up, most gas companies won’t work on anything inside your house after the meter, so definitely reach out to someone who specializes in home plumbing.
