I just moved into a new place and noticed there's a coax cable sticking out of my ceiling, plugged into the wall. I'm a bit worried that there's something I should know about this. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? It was already there when I moved in, and I'm feeling a mix of confusion and concern here.

That coax cable is likely connected to a satellite dish or some kind of TV setup. Even if you don't pay for cable, it could be a remnant from a previous tenant who used to have satellite service. No need to stress about it too much, it’s pretty common to find leftover installations like that!

That's interesting! I guess it’s probably just an old setup then. I know the area had satellite services before, so that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying!
