Should I Be Concerned About Poisons in My Vegetable Garden?

I've been wondering if vegetables can absorb harmful substances like mercury in dangerous amounts. Is there a real risk that someone could secretly poison my garden, or is this just paranoia?

I get where you're coming from. While it's theoretically possible for someone to poison your garden, unless you have a real reason to be concerned about someone's intentions, you shouldn't lose sleep over it. And as for the plants, they can't handle extreme toxins for long, so they'd likely just wither away rather than produce toxic veggies.

You might be a bit too paranoid here! Unless someone has a specific grudge against you, the idea of someone secretly poisoning your garden is unlikely. Most plants deal poorly with high toxin levels; they usually just die. So, while you might be right to be cautious, the reality is that you’ve got much bigger threats to worry about in gardening than a secret saboteur!

It's understandable to feel uneasy, but honestly, the chances of someone poisoning your garden are super low, unless you've really upset someone who might do it. Yes, some plants can absorb toxins depending on things like the type of plant and soil pH, but typically, garden veggies will just die before they accumulate dangerous levels of poison. So, try not to stress too much about it!
