I'm in the market for a planer and I've heard great things about DeWalt. However, I'm curious if there are any reliable and less expensive options out there, like Metabo or Triton. I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks 🙂

If you're looking at Metabo, you might as well consider just spending a bit more for the DeWalt since the prices are pretty close. If I had about $600 to spare, I'd definitely go for the DeWalt. Plus, if you can find another $500 somewhere, you could upgrade to the helical head, which is a nice bonus!
Do you really think DeWalt is significantly better than Metabo?
