How can I stop mushrooms from growing in my plant pots?

I've been dealing with mushrooms popping up in my plant pots after heavy rain, and I'm wondering if there's any way to prevent them from growing other than just keeping moisture levels low. I've already tried mixing up the soil to help it dry out, but I feel a bit lost on what else I could do. Any advice?

Don't stress too much about those mushrooms! They're usually a good sign that your soil is healthy and full of life. While it's understandable to want to get rid of them, they often indicate that your soil is rich in organic matter. Just ensure your plants are still thriving and you might not need to worry about them.

Really? I thought mushrooms meant bad news for the soil. Maybe I shouldn't be so quick to toss everything after a few pop up!
