I recently bought a condo, and after only a week, I've realized that the soundproofing is terrible. I'm dealing with noise from my neighbors, both upstairs and downstairs, and it's really driving me up the wall. It's supposed to be a 'luxury' building, but it sure doesn't feel like it! Has anyone tried installing a drop ceiling or using mass-loaded vinyl (MLV) to fix this issue? I'm also considering selling the place and cutting my losses. Any advice? Thanks!

Have you thought about getting a thick rug? That can help absorb some noise, especially from footsteps. You might also want to check if you can add some blown cellulose insulation in the walls for better soundproofing. Just some options for you!
Man, I totally get where you're coming from! I've been in Airbnbs where you can hear everything, and it’s the worst. If noise really bothers you, consider moving. Trust me, trying to soundproof can end up being super expensive and messy. Plus, if you’re already thinking about selling, it might be best to cut your losses. Good luck!
Adding sound insulation to your walls can be pretty pricey and hard to do after you've moved in. It might be easier to just sell and find a quieter place. I know someone who’s had to deal with noisy neighbors, and it can get really frustrating. Best of luck figuring it out!
Thanks! I appreciate the advice. It’s just hard to know what to do right now.

Yeah, I think I'm leaning towards that idea. I just don’t want to regret it later!
