I'm working on a simple electronics project and I need to find a single 680pF SMD capacitor. I'm not familiar with SMD components and I really don't want to buy a whole pack of 50 just to get this one. Even though it's only about a dollar, I believe in not wasting resources. Any suggestions on where I can source just one?

Just so you know, often these caps come in strips that are only a few inches long. It might be worth getting the 50 just to have some extras on hand for future projects, they'll come in handy eventually. But I get the reluctance to buy more than you need right now.
By the way, where are you located? It could help narrow down local options.
If you want to avoid buying a whole pack, consider checking out e-waste sites or local electronics recycling places. You might find a usable one there!
You might want to reach out to local makerspaces, university labs, or hobbyist groups. Someone there might have a spare to lend or give away. Also, websites like Digi-Key or Mouser let you order individual parts, or you could look on eBay or AliExpress for a single or just a few. Keep in mind, though, shipping times can be longer with those options.
He mentioned not wanting to get stuck with extras, so buying in bulk might not suit him very well!

I'm in the USA!
