Hey everyone! I'm brand new to woodworking and I'm eager to take on a fun project. I'm thinking about making a wooden sword—nothing fancy, just a regular one. I have a few tools at my disposal: a jigsaw, table saw, circular saw, and an orbital sander. I'm curious about a couple of things: how difficult is it to craft a wooden sword? Plus, what specific tools or materials should I consider? If anyone has blueprints or step-by-step tutorials, I would really appreciate it. Thanks a ton!

Making a wooden sword isn't too hard, especially if you have some basic woodworking tools. The jigsaw and table saw will be your best friends for cutting out the shape, and the orbital sander is great for smoothing everything out. I'd recommend starting with a simple design to match your skill level. You might want to check out this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIfiErfAuog) for a detailed guide!
I recently made some wooden knives, and making a sword is pretty similar! Just sketch out your sword's shape on the wood, then cut it out. After that, you can add grips and shape it like you would with the knives. You can find lots of inspiration online, and here's a great [link to a wooden sword tutorial](https://durchfixit.wordpress.com/2008/10/11/making-a-wooden-sword-putting-it-all-together/) that you might find helpful!

Thank you so much! I'm excited to give it a try, especially for my dad!
