Hey folks! I bought a blow-up kiddie pool for $30, and it's not getting much use. I'm considering turning it into a pond liner to save money on buying an actual pond shell and a filtration system. I already have a solar fountain pump I got for $20, and while I'm not sure if I'll keep fish, I want to attract some birds and maybe help the deer that come by water my plants. Here are my priorities: 1) I'm looking to save money, 2) I like upcycling, and 3) I don't want to make it super permanent. Thoughts?

Some pond enthusiasts use hard plastic kiddie pools for their plants or wildlife setups. They can be a decent option and not too pricey! You might even consider burying it slightly for added stability, but really, if you want to try using what you already have, go for it! Every project teaches you something new for the next one!
I’d be a bit concerned about it getting punctured and spending a lot of time refilling it. Maybe look for a hard plastic version instead? But hey, good luck! I found a nice pond liner behind a dumpster once ?. Now it’s just waiting for me to put it in the yard!

?? Thanks for the tips!
