I'm curious about shade cloths for gardening. Do any of you use them? Are they really necessary for protecting plants, or is it just optional in certain climates? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

If you're in a super sunny place like Coachella Valley, you're going to need them for sure! They help keep your plants safe from the harsh sun. I’ve seen a big difference since I started using them.
I think shade cloths are super helpful! Last year, I used them on my balcony for my tomato and pepper plants, and they really helped prevent leaf scorching. Plus, it kept the soil from drying out too quickly. Totally noticed a difference!
Thanks for the insight! I'm considering adding some now.
In central Florida, I definitely recommend shade cloths! The sun can be brutal from morning until evening, and they really help protect against strong light and even heavy rainfall. They've been a lifesaver for my plants!
Good to know! I worry about my plants drying out too much in the sun.

That sounds great! I might give it a try for my tomatoes this season.
