I'm looking to create a bunch of identical deck stringers and I'm considering using my DW618 router with a long flush cut bit. Will it have enough power to handle this task? Should I plan on making multiple passes, or can I get away with a single pass? Any tips would be appreciated!

Using a router for this isn't unheard of, but I'd recommend making multiple passes. Just keep in mind that your template might not be perfectly flat, which could lead to some inconsistencies. A lot of folks opt for a circular saw instead; just trace your first one and then use a jigsaw for the details. For the initial layout, it's better to calculate the hypotenuse once and mark it from top to bottom instead of doing it piece by piece.
I saw Tom Silva do something similar on 'This Old House.' There's a great video on it where he cuts stringers with a router, and it looks really solid! Just remember, even if it’s scary, taking your time will get you great results.
