I've had to rearrange my garden and now have limited space for growing plants. I'm thinking about using 5-gallon buckets or similar containers to expand my gardening options. What types of plants do you all recommend for growing in these buckets?

Using grow bags might be another option for you! They’re super cheap and I’ve had great success with mine on my deck. Just keep a couple of water cans filled nearby for easy watering. They tend to work well for overflow gardening!
I regularly grow all sorts of things in 5-gallon buckets! Last season, I had 32 varieties of peppers thriving in them. I even bring some indoors when needed and add an extra bucket without holes underneath to prevent leaks. This method has worked well for me over the past three years. Currently, I have tomatoes, gourds, dill, and various herbs growing in buckets. Just a tip: make sure to mulch your buckets to help keep the soil moist during the hot summer days. If I can make it work, I’m sure you can too!

Sounds like a good idea! I'll check out grow bags.
