How Long Should I Wait to Tape New Painted Walls for Designs?

I'm redoing my bedroom and plan to paint all the walls a single color before adding some cool designs with tape. I know I need to let the paint dry first, but do I really need to let it cure before applying tape? I'm planning to use Frog Tape, but I'm unsure whether to go with the green or yellow one. How long should I wait before sticking on the tape? Just a heads-up, I'm using Behr paint because I'm on a budget, and my past experiences with it haven't been terrible!

For the best results, wait at least 24 hours after painting before applying any painter's tape, especially if you want those crisp, clean lines. Go with the FrogTape Green for delicate surfaces or if you want to be super accurate. The Yellow FrogTape is stronger and meant for less delicate areas. Generally, after painting, it’s dry to the touch within 1-2 hours, but definitely let it cure for longer for a smoother finish. Also, give it at least 24 hours before you remove the tape to avoid any smudging or peeling.

I'd recommend waiting at least a week before putting the tape on. If you tape too soon, it can pull off your freshly painted walls, which is no fun. Also, remember to remove the tape right after painting; if the paint is completely dry when you take off the tape, it might mess up those sharp lines you want.
