I've got a front loader washing machine that's only about 5 years old, and I'm really frustrated because it smells bad even though I always keep the door open, even when it's dry. I've tried running several cleaning cycles with Tide, vinegar, and bleach, plus I've wiped down the rubber seal. What more can I do?

It sounds like you might need to replace the rubber seal around the door. It can be a bit of a hassle, though. Alternatively, you could just switch to a top-loading machine if you're really fed up with this one!
There are a couple of things you can try! Make sure to empty the drain trap, check the wastewater hose for any damage (sometimes sewer smells can leak in), and consider running a cleaning cycle at a higher temperature with cleaning soda. Do you notice any other problems with the washer, like unusual noises or clothes not getting fully clean?
I will do what you suggested! I don’t notice any changes. It runs as expected.

I just hate that we only bought this a few years ago ?
