Best Foundation Options for a Shed on Unlevel Patio Blocks?

I'm planning to set up a small shed that measures about 5x3 feet on my patio, but I'm facing some challenges since the patio blocks aren't entirely level. There's about a 1-inch dip in the middle where the shed will sit, and I'm not able to redo the patio itself. I know I'll need some kind of base for drainage, regardless of whether or not the patio was even.

I've got two ideas for a solution:
1. First, I could level the patio with stone dust, layer it with PaverBase panels, and then cover it with 12x12 inch concrete pavers.
2. Alternatively, I could also level the patio with stone dust but use a plastic interlocking grid system rated for driveways and fill it with small crushed gravel instead.

Which option do you think would work better? Or do you have any other suggestions for setting a solid foundation for the shed on this uneven patio?

Honestly, your second idea with the plastic grid is also a solid option. It will handle drainage well since it keeps things elevated, which is awesome for moisture control. Just make sure the gravel is well-compacted to provide a sturdy base. Either way, just ensure there's airflow; that's the key.

Yeah, totally! Either method will be fine as long as you ensure there's good drainage. Just weigh the pros and cons based on what you're most comfortable working with.

If redoing the patio isn't an option, I'd recommend going with the bearers method. Just get some pressure-treated 2x6s, level them out, and put the shed on top. This way, you'll allow airflow underneath the shed, keeping it dry and reducing the risk of rot. Plus, it's a lot simpler than trying to redo your whole patio!

That sounds like a great idea! I assume I can just use composite shims to get them leveled, right?
