I'm running four solar panel strings into separate Victron MPPT charge controllers, but my batteries are located at ground level while the charge controllers are up in the attic, 12 feet high. Instead of running four individual cables down to the battery bank, I'm wondering if I can connect the output from each charge controller to a shared bus bar and then run a single set of cables down to the batteries. I'm a bit concerned that one charge controller might mistakenly detect a battery connection from another controller when the batteries aren't actually connected. Is that a valid concern, or am I overthinking this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I've actually got the same setup with no issues at all! You're good to go combining those outputs into a bus bar before the batteries. Just make sure everything is properly connected and labeled for clarity.

Awesome to hear! I was really hesitant about the idea, but it's great to know it's worked for you without issues.
