I'm in the process of upgrading my shower from a plastic pan to a tiled floor. I'm considering a specific tile but have some concerns about how much grout will be involved in the installation. Can this grout be effectively sealed to prevent issues and make it easier to clean?

Just to clarify, if you’re replacing your plastic shower pan with tile, it’s not just a matter of laying it over the existing setup. Your contractor should be removing the entire shower pan and installing a tiling pan along with cement board and a proper membrane. If that’s what’s happening, then yes, the tile you're considering could work!

Oh, I see! Luckily, my contractor is handling all the work, so I'm just choosing the tile to replace the pan. He mentioned he’d only replace the pan and maybe the first row of wall tiles, so it sounds like we're on the same page!
