I've been looking for a cordless detail sander, specifically one with a triangular head, but it seems like Dewalt doesn't make one. I need to sand down skirting boards, panelled doors, and frames, and I don't think a palm-orbital sander is suitable for this kind of work. The belt sander is decent for skirting, but it doesn't cover everything I need. This seems like a big oversight in their product line—did I miss something? Also, are there any sanding attachments for their oscillating multitool that could help with my projects?

Yes, they actually make a triangular sanding pad attachment for their oscillating multitools. It's pretty handy for detailed work. I found one at Home Depot, but here’s the link if you're interested: [DEWALT Oscillating Sanding Pad](https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-Oscillating-Sanding-Pad-DWA4200/204793100). Just keep in mind that it works best in tight corners!
Thanks for that info! The link doesn’t work in the UK, but it helped me find a UK supplier: https://www.raptorsupplies.co.uk/pd/dewalt/dwa4200.
I’ve used the OMT with a triangle sanding pad for similar tasks, and it’s been super effective. If you’re tackling a larger project, I also have an old corded Mouse sander that really gets the job done. The OMT really shines for detail work though!
I bought a cordless detail sander and a Dewalt battery adapter—it works much better than the oscillating tool with a triangle pad because it gets into corners more easily. If you're considering a battery solution, that might be the way to go!

That’s great to know! I actually got that attachment with mine, and it works really well for smaller sanding jobs.
