Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I've got several Parkside batteries for my drills that work with multiple tools in the 20V Parkside Series. However, when I plug these 2000mAh batteries into my 2.4A Max charger, both the green and red LEDs start flashing. From what I've read online, this usually indicates that the batteries are faulty or maybe they've just been stored for too long. If anyone has any advice or solutions, it would mean a lot! Thanks for your help!

It might be that the batteries just aren't compatible with your charger. I once had a similar issue with a 4Ah pack where one cell was completely dead, and I had to get a replacement. Confirm the voltage of your packs and see if that gives you any clues!
First, I’d suggest measuring the voltage of the batteries. If the reading is zero, it could mean that the battery management system (BMS) is stuck. You might be able to revitalize them by connecting a second, working battery in parallel with the dead one to trick the charger. Sometimes just leaving it on the charger overnight can help too. Check online for more tips—there are quite a few tricks out there!
Good advice! I found that using a 'dumb' battery as the second one can work better since smart batteries can be a bit finicky. I had an experience where I connected a fan to a smart battery, and it died on me immediately. Luckily, I got it replaced since I still had the receipt!

Honestly, I wouldn’t know how to check the voltage. My father picked these up, and I just tried using them with a saw on an old piece of furniture, but they wouldn’t charge or work at all once I plugged them in.
