Getting Water in My Basement After Installing Fake Grass – What’s the Solution?

I've recently installed some fake grass and now I'm facing an issue with water leaking into my basement. There was no French drain added during the installation. The area was filled with two sizes of rocks and it doesn't seem to be properly leveled. I've taken some pictures trying to show the situation, and I'm willing to take more if necessary. What do I need to ask the installer to fix this issue?

It sounds like the grading around your house might be off. From what you've described, it seems the yard slopes towards your foundation, which is causing the water to run into your basement now that the grass isn't absorbing it like it used to. Ideally, the area next to the house should slope away to help drain water properly. If I were the installer, I’d probably say it’s not their fault since they did a grade, but it’s worth pushing for a fix.

I get why you'd think that, but grading was part of the install, so it's weird that it's not sloping away now.
