Hey everyone! I'm currently using a plunge router with a router table that has a dust collector under it connected to a vacuum. The dust collector has a gland to let the router's power cable through, but I'm really reluctant to cut off the molded plug since I also need to use the router outside of the table. Does anyone have suggestions on how to manage this without having to constantly remove the plug for different uses? Thanks a lot!

If you really need to cut the cable to wire it through, that might be a permanent fix. Instead, why not try making the wire hole on your table a bit larger? Sure, it won't be as airtight in terms of suction, but it's a good compromise. Alternatively, getting a second router could also solve the problem for you!

Yeah, a second router could really save you some hassle! Just set it up with the plug you need for the table and keep the other one for outside work.
