Looking for African Houseplants for a Terrarium

Hey everyone! I'm trying to set up a terrarium specifically for an African praying mantis species. The enclosure is 30 inches tall and 18 inches wide. Can anyone recommend some small houseplants that are native to Africa and can thrive in indoor conditions?

Since you're misting every couple of days, you might also want to try dwarf varieties of certain ferns or even small aloes. Just make sure to check if they're native to Africa since there are so many beautiful options! Good luck with your mantis!

It really depends on whether your terrarium is dry or humid. If you're leaning towards a dry setup, you might want to look into Tillandsia, but for a more humid environment, you could consider smaller plants like African violets or some kinds of succulents that thrive in damp conditions. They can add some nice greenery and are pretty forgiving when it comes to care!
