Is My Kitchen Extension Roof a Cause for Concern?

I live in a house built in 1928, and the kitchen extension was put up after that. I've owned the place for about four years now, and the roof has been crooked since I moved in. It's been bothering me, and I'm wondering if this is something serious that I need to worry about. What are my options for fixing it or should I just leave it alone? Thanks for any help!

It's definitely a good idea to check out what's going on under that roof. There could be a variety of issues like rotting wood, pulled nails, or it might just be poorly constructed. In some cases, you might find it’s still solid enough and doesn't need too much work, but fixing it could be pricey. It's worth taking a look to determine what's causing the slope before making any decisions. Sometimes quirky designs come about for reasons we might not understand!

I totally get you, but what about the slant in the ceiling too? Did someone really want it that way?
