Best Ways to Get Rid of Curry Smell from Furniture?

I recently bought a dresser and nightstand set from an Indian family, and I'm trying to match them with my rustic brown decor. I'm hoping to flip them for a profit, but I can't shake the strong curry smell lingering in the furniture. I've already tried putting baking soda and dryer sheets in the drawers, and cleaned the exterior with a mix of vinegar, Pine-Sol, and water. However, I still feel like I can smell it! Does anyone have any effective tips or solutions to remove the odor?

You might want to consider investing in an ozone generator; they're known for tackling odors really well. Just make sure you get a good quality one, not some cheap knock-off. Try covering the furniture with a tarp and running the generator for a day or two. It's more of a long-term fix than regular cleaning, but it could really help with that smell!

Yeah, I've heard ozone is great for tough odors! Just be careful and ventilate the area when using it.

Honestly, removing that smell can be tough. Some people say it kind of lingers like patchouli—it just doesn't seem to go away completely. You might have to get a little creative with your solutions.

Have you thought about using coffee grounds? I tried it once in a freezer that had a nasty smell, and it helped mask it a bit. It might not eliminate the curry scent entirely, but it could make it more bearable! Just a thought—could taste a bit like coffee afterward though!

That's an interesting idea! I guess coffee could be a more pleasant smell to have around than curry.
