Hey everyone! I'm curious if anyone has done a microscope comparison between compost tea and using products like Root Wise or other microbial additives. I'm really trying to figure out if brewing compost tea is actually worth it, or if you can achieve similar microbial life just by mixing something like Root Wise with water. I'm looking for thoughts from those who have real experience and have looked through a microscope, so please, no speculation!

From my understanding, both Recharge and Root Wise function like instant compost tea. I don't have scientific data, but I've been using Recharge for a few years, and I'm happy with the results. It seems pretty effective without the brewing hassle.
In my experience, it's best to enhance the existing microbial community in your soil with organic matter like compost, instead of just adding biology through tea. This season, I did a no-till gardening approach, layering compost on top of my soil, and my plants are thriving! It's not just about adding tea, it's about boosting the existing life in the soil.
Kis Organics has a great blog on compost tea that links to Tim Wilson, someone who really dives deep into this subject. You might find some solid info there to help with your question.

Have you ever compared using Recharge directly to brewing compost tea with extra amendments? I’m curious about the differences!
