Some skills truly stand the test of time, holding value across all walks of life—whether you're in a bustling city or a small town, wealthy or broke, alone or leading others. I'm curious to know: what is one skill that grants a man a sense of quiet power, enabling him to earn trust, respect, and opportunities regardless of the era or location?

I think leadership skills are key too. Knowing how to negotiate, communicate, and gain respect are vital—though some of it comes naturally, a lot can be learned over time.
I'd say medicine is a huge one. Everyone confronts their mortality at some point, so a person who can heal—whether as a doctor, surgeon, or even a traditional healer—will always earn respect and admiration. People want to survive and feel safe, so these skills are ageless.
But how do you view historical figures in medicine? In medieval Europe, for example, executioners often had more anatomical knowledge than 'doctors' who relied on horoscopes. They weren't seen as trustworthy.
Haha, I appreciate that! As a physician myself, I definitely feel proud of the role we play.
Definitely storytelling! Whether it's around a campfire, on a podcast, or in front of a movie screen, people are drawn to a good tale. You can command attention and even earn a following just by weaving stories together.
That's so true! Any tips on how to hone storytelling skills?

Yeah, but it's interesting how often tall, older, or charismatic men are just handed leadership positions, right?
