I recently got a 6Ah battery, but it doesn't have the XR label like my brother's does. Can someone break down what this means? I want to understand the difference!

Yeah, they simplified things a while back. The XR label is basically for the fancier versions now. Everything else is just labeled as 20V MAX. So, if your battery doesn't say XR, it's probably just an earlier model. Still good, just not the latest tech!
The XR branding is now reserved for the top-tier batteries like the PowerPack and PowerStack. They're designed to be more powerful and efficient. Your 6Ah battery is solid, but the newer 8Ah PowerPack offers better runtime and output, so it makes sense they're differentiating with XR now. Just because it doesn’t have XR doesn’t mean it’s not a good battery!

Got it! Thanks for the clarity.
