Can I Hardwire Hex LED Lights to My Junction Box?

I'm in the process of revamping the lighting in my basement gym and I'm really drawn to the look of Hex LED lights. They offer a choice between hardwiring or using a plug, and I currently have a round electrical box where an old light fixture is mounted. I plan to remove that light, but I'm wondering: can I hardwire these new LED lights directly to that round box, or would it be smarter to replace it with an electrical receptacle? I'd appreciate any insights!

I suggest you tread carefully before getting those hex lights. I bought a set that looked great online, but when they arrived, they were way smaller than expected and didn't meet any electrical safety standards. I returned mine because I don't think it's worth the risk. Make sure you research the products thoroughly before hooking anything up!

Using the existing junction box sounds like a straightforward option. If it's a standard box, there should be anchors or threads that will let you mount the new lights without much hassle. That’s probably how the old lights were fixed too, so it should work just fine!
