Is it too late to plant bare root fruit trees in June or July?

Hey everyone, I'm in the Manchester area and I'm considering planting some bare root fruit trees—specifically an apple tree variety called Saturn and a fig tree, possibly Brown Turkey. However, I'm wondering if doing this in late June or early July is a bad idea. Should I go for it or wait?

It's definitely risky. If you do, you'll need to keep them well-watered, especially since it’s been very dry lately.

I'm okay with watering daily until September, hopefully the trees will take off after that!

It's not the best time to plant, but I’ve done it before, and they handled it surprisingly well.
