I'm diving into a siding project but I'm hitting a snag. My foundation doesn't sit flush with the walls where I plan to install the vinyl siding. There are three walls involved, and each one has an overhang due to structural baseboard placement. How should I go about starting the siding in this situation? Everything I've read recommends that the siding overlaps the foundation by at least 1/2 inch. Any tips?

You'll want to use drip edge flashing along the bottom of the wall. Install the vinyl siding with the bottom edge hanging just a bit below the drip edge for proper water drainage.
Don’t forget to use a starter strip at the bottom to ensure the siding sits level. It's crucial for a clean look and helps with water management.
