I'm a first-time gardener and recently ran into a huge problem with groundhogs eating my tomato plants. I've managed to secure them from any further munching, but now I'm wondering if pruning will help them grow back. If so, what should I prune and where? Any insights would be super helpful! I also added some pictures of the affected plants in the comments for reference.

I had a similar issue and ended up using a combination of fencing and netting to protect my plants. If you can, try to bag the stems when the groundhogs are around, just like I’ve done for my strawberries. Also, don’t forget to check out smaller fencing solutions that are easy to set up!
Hey, I'm in the same boat with these pesky groundhogs! For pruning, make sure to cut away any dead or damaged leaves and stems. This will help redirect energy to healthier growth. Just look for areas where new shoots are coming in and trim back the surrounding foliage to give them some room. Good luck!
Thanks for the tips! I really want to save my plants before it's too late.

Fencing sounds like a great idea! I'll definitely look into adding that for more protection.
