Hey everyone! I'm currently renovating a room and recently replaced a sliding glass door with a window. While getting supplies, I mistakenly used Liquid Nails instead of silicone caulking when sealing up the window. It's been a week, and now I'm wondering if I need to remove the window and redo the flashing and caulking. My main concerns are whether the Liquid Nails will hold up against moisture, especially since there's a little bit of water that drips from my awning during heavy rain, and if I need to worry about getting the window square again if I take it out. Has anyone had experience with this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, I'd recommend that you keep an eye on it for now. If the bead of Liquid Nails is still intact and there are no visible issues, you might be okay. You could even paint over it with some exterior paint to add an extra layer of protection. Just make sure to check for any cracking down the line, and consider switching to caulk in the future.
For real, don't stress too much just yet! Your setup is likely fine as long as it’s not directly exposed to heavy rain. If there is any concern about water flow in the future, just plan to address it then. But for now, it sounds like everything is working smoothly.

Thanks for the tip! I'll monitor it and see how it holds up. I really want to avoid any big issues later.
