Why Is My AC Furnace Closet So Much Hotter Than the Rest of My House?

Hey everyone, I have a bit of a concern about the closet where my AC furnace is located. It seems to be significantly hotter than the rest of my house—like around 90 degrees! I'm not entirely sure if that number is accurate, but it definitely feels that way. I also noticed that the AC vents lead to the attic, and I can see into the attic from the closet. Could this be the reason why the closet is so hot? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Yeah, that sounds like a common issue. If your AC vents lead to the attic, that could definitely be causing the heat buildup in your closet. The attic usually gets really hot, and if there aren't any proper barriers or insulation, that heat can seep into the closet.
