Hey everyone! I just put some blinds in my place and I've run into a bit of a situation. The blinds have three latches that require screws to attach them to the wall, with each latch having two vertical and two horizontal screw holes. Since I don't have a drill, I couldn't get into the plastic part of my window. For one blind, I managed to reuse a screw hole from the old blinds, but I couldn't do that for the others; each latch is only secured with two vertical screws. I didn't use any drywall anchors either since they weren't included in the package or mentioned in the instructions.
For one of the blinds, I managed to screw in one screw on two of the three latches, but it was tricky getting it back out after testing the fit. I'm just wondering, is it okay to go with only two screws? Will my blinds stay up securely?

Honestly, if you’re missing screws after a DIY project, you probably didn’t do it right. Just keep an eye on those blinds; they might start drooping!
You don't necessarily have to use every hole provided for the screws, but make sure the ones you are using are tight. Also, if you're diving into DIY stuff, I’d highly suggest getting a cordless drill. It’ll save you a lot of hassle! There are affordable options out there.
If you want your blinds to be secure, I wouldn't bet on it just being two screws. My advice: better safe than sorry—make sure you’re using all the screw holes when you can.
Generally, it's recommended to have two secure screws for each side of the latches. The holes give you flexibility depending on your window setup, but it sounds like you might be okay since the screws are going into wood. Just make sure the screws are tight and check for any wobble once you finish. Did you make sure the measurements are right according to the instructions? If they’re secure, you should be good!
As long as you’re going into wood, you should be just fine. Just check once in a while to be sure nothing is coming loose.

I was able to get the first one down and attach it properly, so now I have two screws in each of the three latches into the wooden header. I didn’t measure perfectly; the instructions say 4 inches from each end, mine are about 8 inches. They seem secure though, so I hope it’ll be fine!
