I've been using my Dewalt planer, but now all the shavings and dust are coming out the front instead of the back. I've checked for any blockages at the rear port but can't find anything. Does anyone have ideas on what could be causing this?

It sounds like there might be something blocking the dust port. Can you share which model you have? If it's a DW735, make sure there's nothing attached to the chip port that might be causing a backup. It might have worked fine before, but sometimes stuff can clog up unexpectedly.
Sounds like you might need to do a deeper inspection. Was it functioning well before? If it was but just started acting up, it definitely could be a blockage or an issue with the blower itself.
I bet there's a blockage in the port somewhere. Try taking off the top and the fan shroud to clean out any debris. If everything's clear and it’s still blowing chips out the front, then there’s a chance your blower has given out.
