Why is my Philodendron Mayoi barely growing?

Hey everyone! I've had my Philodendron Mayoi for over a year now, and it's only produced one leaf. It's sitting in a super bright room with a large south-facing window. I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong since it seems like a great spot for it! I water it every week as soon as the topsoil feels somewhat dry. Any tips would be appreciated! ?

From what you’ve described, it sounds like you might be overwatering it. Watering every week might be too much, even if the topsoil feels dry. Consider getting a moisture meter to be more precise. Only water when the soil is actually dry. That should help stimulate growth!

Yeah, I had a similar issue with mine. Once I adjusted my watering schedule, it started thriving!

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely look into getting a moisture meter.
