Advice Needed: Can My Short Tub Accommodate a Glass Door?

I'm really new to home improvement and I'm considering swapping my shower curtain for a glass door on my tub. However, I've run into some concerns. My tub is only 53 inches long, and it has a slope toward the back which makes the bottom even shorter. I'm worried that a glass door might not leave enough room for me to step out safely, especially since there's a toilet right next to the front of the tub. What options do I have that would work without causing an expensive mistake? I'd really appreciate any advice from anyone who knows about this stuff!

All tubs do slope toward the drain, so that's normal. You'll want to focus on finding the right-sized door, both in height and width. You can usually cut door tracks to fit the width of your tub, but if you buy a door meant for a standard 60" tub, it could leave you with a narrow opening. Height is usually less of a concern, but it’s still something to consider. My aunt and uncle had a folding shower door, which could be a smart solution for your situation too!

I didn't know folding doors were an option. Thanks for the suggestion!
