Should I Tip My Landscaping Crew for a $28k Project?

Hey everyone! I'm gearing up for some landscaping work that includes replacing an old retaining wall, installing a patio, and cleaning up the pool area, totaling around $28,000. I'm curious—do you think I should tip the crew once everything's completed, or is that not necessary?

As someone who works in landscaping, just a $10 tip for lunch means a lot to us. It’s really rare to hear a ‘thank you’, so even small gestures like a cooler of drinks or snacks can really make our day!

In my experience, I generally tip when I think the work was priced lower to fill in gaps in their schedule but they still did a solid job. If I'm paying full price, I’m not usually inclined to tip since the owner should cover their workers. I do like to provide food and drinks, though, especially if I know their favorites!

You don’t *have* to tip, but if you feel inclined to show appreciation, handing out some cash to the workers is a nice gesture! Also, drinks or snacks can go a long way in making their day.

Totally agree! Even just some cold drinks while they work can really boost morale!
