Looking for No Mar Tips for My Paslode Framing Nailer

Asked By WoodWanderer92 On

Hey everyone! I just got my hands on the Paslode 30 degree compact framing nailer and I've been using it for some fun projects with dimensional lumber. But here's the catch: it sometimes leaves these annoying mars on the wood. I've seen no mar tips for other types of nailers, but I can't seem to find one that fits my model. Any suggestions or tips would really help! Thanks!

Honestly, framing nailers are more for structural work rather than fine woodworking. If you're doing things like picnic tables, they might not be the best fit if you want a clean finish. For items that you'll see, consider using screws instead. For smaller projects, an 18 gauge brad nailer could work, but just remember it won't be as sturdy on its own. You can use these to hold things while the glue sets up or to drive in screws later!

Totally get what you mean! I've used my framing nailer for similar stuff, but I usually go back and ensure everything's anchored with screws too.

You can actually find no mar tips on Amazon. They sometimes come in packs of three. They're a good investment if you're looking to avoid those mars!
