I'm planning to demolish a concrete block wall that sits at a right angle to my neighbor's wall. My wall is about 1.5 meters high, while the neighbor's is around 3 meters high. I have a concrete saw with a 300mm blade. At the point where our walls meet, what approach should I take to ensure I don't damage the neighbor's wall during the demolition?

I'm no pro, but I think the best way to tackle this is to start knocking down your wall from about 6 inches away from the neighbor's wall. Once you reach that point, switch to a metal chisel and hammer to carefully chip away the concrete block. After that, grab your angle grinder with a masonry bit to smooth everything out.
Worst-case scenario, if you accidentally chip a bit off their wall, you can just patch it up with mortar. Just take your time when you're chiseling, and scoring the area beforehand might help!
But can you really take down a connected wall like that without any issues? It's a bit risky if you don't know how it’s all tied together!

Good point! Just to clarify, the walls aren't structurally connected—they're just held together by a thin layer of mortar. My wall was installed recently, while the neighbor's is older.
