Hey everyone! I'm brand new to gardening and just moved to a place with a small outdoor area that's perfect for growing some veggies. I'm considering setting up one or two raised beds, but I've read that fir wood isn't the best choice since it tends to rot quickly. I'm having trouble finding good alternatives that won't break the bank. Does anyone have suggestions for durable and budget-friendly raised beds to start with? Thanks a lot!

Check out this raised bed kit! I got something similar about five years ago, and it's holding up great! It's made from a good solid material and plenty spacious for starting out. If you're interested, you can find it over at DIY.com.
I recommend using pallet collars! They're super cheap and sometimes even free, plus they're easy to swap out if needed. Lately, I've also been eyeing metal raised beds since they're more stylish and might help with slug problems. They can be a bit pricier, so keep an eye out for sales! Check out this link for one I found.

Thanks for the tip! But I noticed that the bed you linked doesn't have a base. Since my outdoor area is concrete, I'm wondering if that will cause issues.
