Hey everyone! I have a bunch of my plants in plastic nursery pots, and I typically put them inside decorative planters. I'm curious about whether this is a good or bad practice. Are there specific plants that don't like being in nursery pots? Also, are there any types of planters that could work without using nursery pots? I'm kind of new to all of this and tend to overthink things!

Most people use plastic nursery pots, and they work just as well as others, as long as you tweak the soil for your plant’s needs. Like for cacti, you’ll want airy soil even in plastic pots, but you can ease off a bit if it’s in terracotta.
I’ve actually had great success with unglazed terracotta, especially for succulents, because they dry out faster. But a lot of people still love plastic nursery pots, especially clear ones to watch the roots grow—super tempting!
It’s totally fine to keep your plants in nursery pots. A lot of people do this because it makes repotting so much easier! Plus, personal preference plays a big role in this, so just do what feels right for you!
