What’s the Best Way to Remove a Dish Network Pole from My Yard?

I've got this pole in my yard that Dish Network put in, and it's really bugging me. I don't see any concrete around it, but I really can't get it to budge. Is digging the best option, or is there a simpler method? I'm just trying to enjoy my Festivus without this eye sore!

You might want to try using a high lift jack or some leverage. If you have a drill, you could drill holes into the pole, bolt on a 2x4, and then jack it up. Just make sure you have the right drill bits for it!

That sounds smart! Just be cautious if it’s really stuck.

There are a few ways to tackle this. For a tougher option, dig around the pole to see if it's been buried deep or has anything at the bottom. If you're looking for an easier fix, just dig a few inches around it, cut the pole, and then cover the leftover part with dirt. Quick and simple!

It's possible that it’s anchored in concrete, which could be below the surface. Start by digging around it until you find any concrete. If you do hit cement, a sledgehammer can help break it apart, then you can pull the post out. If it’s stubborn, try soaking the area with water after you dig around the base. Using a jack or levers can also help get it out when it starts to budge.
