As gardening season kicks off and many of us are harvesting our first tomatoes, I'm curious about your favorite varieties to grow and the reasons behind your choices. Personally, I really enjoy Golden Jubilee because they have a delightful sweetness, perfect for sauces. I also love San Marzano tomatoes for their versatility in salsas, confits, and more. What varieties do you think taste the best, and what dishes do you use them in?

I love growing dwarf tomatoes like Wild Fred, Speckled Heart, and Big Green. They're fantastic for slicing! I also make sure to grow Sungolds every year because they're simply the best for cherries. For sauces, I go with Nova since it's early and dependable, although I’m giving mini San Marzano a shot in my greenhouse this year.
I’m all about Sun Golds for cherry tomatoes and Celebrity for slicing. For sauces and salsas, you can't beat San Marzano! They really pack a punch in flavor.
I prefer Yellow Pear for cherry tomatoes and Purple Cherokee for slicing. They have a lot more flavor compared to the red ones I've tried. I switch it up every year since I'm still experimenting with varieties (just finishing my second year now)!
I’m trying out Black Krims for the first time this year! They're supposed to have a rich flavor, and I can’t wait to see how they turn out. Here's a peek at how they're looking so far! [Image]

Why do you prefer dwarves? I've been curious about growing them but haven't yet!
