I've tried bait stations, Nippon ant powder, and even boiling water, but none of these methods have worked to eliminate the ants. They're currently hanging out on the external wall of my house and along the garden path. I'm looking for any other suggestions to deal with them.

Have you considered that ants outside might actually be beneficial? They can help with soil quality, and if they're on your plants, it might be a sign of aphids or other problems. Some people just leave them be, especially if they’re not bothering you too much. It could be a sign that your soil is dry, too.
If they’re strictly outside, sealing gaps won’t help much. Just let them be; they’re part of the ecosystem! However, if they start causing significant issues, you might need to look into natural repellents or barriers, like diatomaceous earth, instead of harsh chemicals.
I appreciate that! I’ll focus on finding a more natural way to manage them.

Thanks for the tip! I didn’t think about it that way. Maybe I’ll just keep an eye on them for now.
