What Can I Do to Protect My Fruit Trees from Japanese Beetles?

I'm really worried about my fruit trees because Japanese beetles are attacking them. My husband is so frustrated that he's thinking about cutting the trees down, but I'm desperate to find a solution before it comes to that. Does anyone have tips on how to keep these pests away?

One option is to use pesticides. You could try something like Sevin, which many gardeners swear by for pests like Japanese beetles. Just make sure to follow the application instructions carefully to keep your trees safe!

You might want to check with your local nursery, too. They can recommend treatments that work well in your area. There are products you can mix with water and apply like fertilizer, which helps combat beetles from the inside out. I’ve had good success with it on my maple trees!

If you're looking for something more natural, consider getting traps designed specifically for Japanese beetles. They’re scented with pheromones that draw the beetles in and then trap them so they can't escape. I’ve seen farmers use them and catch thousands! It’s a game changer. Just be cautious about where you place them—too close to your trees could attract more beetles!
