I'm looking into getting a linear shower drain set along the far wall to avoid stepping on it. However, I'm worried about how easy these drains will be to clean. Is it really possible for a linear shower drain to be easy to maintain? Which brands are known for making the best drains?

Honestly, from my experience, linear drains are a headache to clean. They seem to collect a lot of slimy buildup, and I find myself cleaning mine every month or so. Leaving the cover off helps a bit, but I wouldn't recommend them if you're looking for something low maintenance.
That sounds rough! Can you use bleach to clean it or something?
