Why Won’t My M18 Chainsaw Turn On After Working Fine?

I recently used my M18 chainsaw without any issues, but when I tried to use it again a few days later, it wouldn't turn on at all. I've switched out the batteries and checked the connections, but they seem fine with no corrosion. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the brake mechanism is broken, even though I didn't touch it last time. Does anyone have any ideas on what else could be wrong or any solutions? Thanks in advance!

Yeah, definitely give the brake another shot. Sometimes they just get stuck. And if the blade spins freely when the brake is off, that points to the brake being the issue. It might be worth taking a closer look at that mechanism.

Have you tried cycling the brake on and off a few times? Sometimes it just needs a little nudge to reset. Also, see if you can spin the blade manually with the brake disengaged. If it's really hard to turn, that could be a clue that the brake is the problem.
